An unbelievably real story of the good Eli, a girl who was abandoned and raised in institutions, and who despite all the hardship in her life, she is now independent and a self-advocate helping other young people with disabilities leave state care and become independent. She is president of an association called “Ceva de spus” (Something to say) and she militates for closing state institutions such as the orphanages where she grew up (see a video here). I hope this book would help Eli in her self-advocate efforts.

The mazes of her memories are marked in short graphic-novel chapters.
